I met up with some great friends for a girls trip to New Orleans for Mardi Gras and I'm so happy I did. It was absolutely fantastic. We took time to walk the dogs at Villalobos Rescue which was very rewarding.

Bring a backpack or something to put beads in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You will NOT want to party with 20lbs of beads around your neck.

A New Orleans parade is an experience. We loved Mardi Gras so much that we desired to share that experience with our husbands. We stayed in the Bywater area and I will never stay in a different district. It was perfect. Quiet, quaint, full of good food and character. Halloween is my absolute favorite Holiday, so what better way than to celebrate in New Orleans at their Halloween Parade. It did not disappoint. We dressed for the occasion and enjoyed the amazing Krewe of Boo Parade.

Krewe of Boo is NEVER Halloween Weekend!
Stay in the Bywater Area
Frenchmen St. over Bourbon any day!

Bayou Adventure

We took a day to spend out on the Bayou and I'm so glad we did. We only saw a few Alligators as it was their hibernating season (Who knew?!) but that didn't affect the wonderful tour we received from Capt' Lou with Bayou Self Swamp Adventure. We booked a private tour, brought our beer and lunch and set out on the water. It was the perfect day! Probably one of my favorite days on the trip.
