Rail Grade!

Our departure from Cogolin was celebrated with a marching band (ha! I think it was the last day of the town's celebrations...) and a good bye to Gordon who was a great host, letting us crash at his place even though he had a stacked weekend of events. In contrast to our previous days of rolling coastal road riding, it was a day of rail trails that took us on rail grade through tunnels and along bays along the coast. It felt like a nice break! We stopped just short of Hyères and celebrated our last evening on the coast at a campground with a pool - although the swimming was a tad chilly with a storm brewing around us.Read more
