On the way home
Zuzana kindly drove us to Munich airport hotel.
Went to Winhöring to get the bike checked while Jill shopped.
Sunny. Lunch at a favourite local restaurant, play in town, “Old” Beerfest and ice cream.
Bit damp so we had 2 days in our hotel beside a river with forest walks. I was promised no churches, museums or galleries. And she delivered. Nice.
Can camp free for one night and one night only in the same spot anywhere in Germany.
Mostly autobahn riding today. We came in to Munich from the north and I was surprised there were green farming fields 8.5km from the centre. Ie a concentrated city. Rain here so having 2 nights.
Hi If it’s wet I can recommend the Deutsches Museum, the Residenz and the BMW museum without hesitation. Love this city.
Are you thinking of visiting Neuschwanstein? The setting and the arriving is worth it in itself.
Thanks Robyn but I am not a museum person. Also the day is done. Will look up Neuch...
Yes but the museum is amazing for you. History of all things mechanical. Even had a long wall mine downstairs in 1988.
Along Lake Constance today, on the German side. Overnight in Lindau.
A pre breakfast ride up the Grand Ballon for me, a hill climb in The Tour, then to Colmar (little Venice) and then into Germany.
On the return to Passau? Are you thinking of touring the Audi factory at Ingolstadt?
