Nenagh - jail, castle, pub dinner

    September 7, 2017 in Ireland ⋅ ☀️ 15 °C

Checking out Nenagh history, first stop old jail (which later became nunnery and school), met some lovely helpful ladies (Alice from Mooloolaba), learnt a bit about the history (innocence of the Cormac boys etc), checked out jail cells and saw the hanging platform.
Visited the castle and went to the top of the Keep (all 100 steps).
Then we drove out to Dromineer and Lough Derg to have a look.

    Day 4 cont

    September 7, 2017 in Ireland ⋅ ☀️ 15 °C

After checking out the jail and castle, we checked Lough Derg at a little place called Dromineer. We drove through a cute little village called Ballycommon, and we thought it would be a great place for Hil, Jim and the kids to live. Turns out it's where they are looking and where the kids go to school.
Finished a great day out with dinner at the Abbey Bar.
