La Roche-en-Ardenne Castle Ruins 拉罗什-昂-阿登城堡废墟

This medieval castle ruin dates back to the 9th century and is situated on a rocky ridge overlooking the Ourthe River. Today, only ruins remain, offering visitors a place to reflect on its past.
Every year on the last weekend of July, local residents hold a commemorative event. Dressed in traditional costumes and carrying replica ancient weapons, they parade around the town to the bagpipe an beat of drums, then ascend to the castle to reenact various scenes.
