Hollywood Studios - using the force

We got up late for a park day, cos guess what, I was still feeling icky. And had a slow start to the morning. We took our time and headed out to Hollywood Studios, where all of the Star Wars related stuff is. We had lunch and bar reservations that we didn't want to miss.

We got into the park and meandered to Star Tours, to go explore the bus service of the Galactic Republic.

After a jaunt to a couple of planets, we stopped in to say goodbye, FOR-EVER, to Muppets 3D, which is closing in June. I am very sad about this closure, as it's always been a favourite in our family, ever since my first trip to Florida in 1992, and my dad was kissed by Miss Piggy and I was kissed by Bean Bunny. Ah, good times.

Still, after bidding farewell to Muppets 3D we headed to Batuu (Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge). We caught up with Mando and Grogu, and did a single rider line to cut down the wait time on Rise of the Resistance.

Pretty obviously, we spent plenty of time hanging out in Batuu, watched the "bad guys" strut around and had some pictures taken.

We did actually leave Batuu at lunchtime to go to Toy Story Land and have family style BBQ at Round-up Rodeo, where you are shrunk to the size of toys and have lunch in the toyboy surrounded by Andy's toys (all makes perfect sense as long as you know Toy Story).

After lunch, we thought we'd go back to Batuu and fly the millennium falcon, smuggle some coaxium for Hondo Ohnaka, before dropping into Oga's Cantina for a cocktail or two and to listen to some tunes spun by the best co-pilot turned DJ in the Galaxy (R3x).

By the time we'd had drinks, I was struggling with sore ribs and breathing and Heath felt tired out, so we left the Studios early to get an early night. As we walked to the car, we found a fork in the road. Maybe the Disney- gods were trying to tell us something

We were so tired we couldn't be bothered to get dinner and just ate a bowl of cereal as evening meal. Even though we weren't feeling great, it had still been a nice day.Read more
