• Salamanca Market and hop on/hop off bus.

Needed to be in the theatre at the hotel by 10.00am as Paul's chorus was to compete around 10.30. So, Trish, Janette and I headed off to Salamanca Market early with the intention of having a bite to eat and a coffee, which we did.

The Salamanca Market, held every Saturday, is Tassie's number one tourist attraction and the biggest market in Australia - over 300 stalls - mostly with good quality merchandise. Unbelievably, Trish bumped into her sister-in-law, Bev as we were browsing.

There was a tourist information near the market, so we purchased tickets for the hop on / hop off bus.

Returned to the hotel in plenty of time to see several groups compete and then we saw Paul's group, Hills Harmony, perform, which we all really enjoyed.

Next it was up to the tourist information to catch the 12 noon bus. We toured Hobart on the top deck for an hour and a half. From the bus we walked into the edge of the city, found an asian restaurant and had lunch.

Janette went back to the hotel to do some washing. I walked to Franklin Wharf to book a couple of restaurants - a Chinese for tonight and Mures seafood for Monday night.
