• Kent to the Cotswalds

    September 16 in England ⛅ 21 °C

Our second breakfast at Hever Castle. Beautiful buffet items and we ordered Eggs Florentine. These were our only ‘included breakfasts’ and despite not being big breakfast eaters we really enjoyed them.

We decided to walk off a bit around the beautiful gardens (for description see the entry on Hever Castle) and have a bit of a look in the gift shop. There was a display of minuture historic homes connected to the gift shop and we both felt it was better than the Doll’s House exhibition we saw last week at Newby Hall. Not as vast but easy to see all the detail.

We headed off just after midday for our next accommodation in The Cotswolds - Straw Cottage in the lovely little village of Adderbury. The trip was uneventful although we hit some slow moving traffic near Heathrow and entertained ourselves guessing the name of the airline as the planes flew above us every thirty seconds.

Unpacked, explored and then off to The Marlestone Tavern for a pub pie meal at nearby Milton before heading up to bed in our Milly-Molly-Mandy cottage.
