Off to a late start but made it to Taughannock Falls State Park, following a stop at Ithaca Beer. The brewery was a very nice spot, lots of indoor and outdoor space.

Our campsite is ok, a little closer than we like. The spot next to us is occupied by a family from Buffalo with 4 kids, 18 months to 15 years.Read more

Taughannock Falls

We had a leisurely start to the day at the campsite followed by a hike on the gorge and rim trails. The falls are 215 feet high and the cliffs alongside are substantially higher. We followed this up with a swim in Cayuga lake to chill off .

Late in the afternoon we headed to Wagner vineyards and Wagner valley brewery for wine, beer, and a brisket picnic dinner. Wagner's is located on Seneca Lake. We topped it off with a stop for ice cream on the way back to the campgrounds.Read more

Hiking in and atop the gorge at Watkins Glen followed by a couple brewery stops. Fantastic hike although a bit crowded in the gorge. While on the south rim, we can across a very peaceful pond, complete with cattails, jumping fish, and bullfrogs.Read more

Beautiful old town. Really provides a feel of Europe with the old streets and buildings, along with French being spoken everywhere.
