Hopfgarten

Well, the first night at Hopfgarten everyone went out to a pub where we were all competing in a 'beer off'. Everytime you emptied a glass you would have to go to Maria for a texta mark and who ever had the most at the end of the night won! I was off to a great start but the night ended with me losing to the equivalent of around $100 AUD, sitting in the hallway having D&M's, getting dragged into my bed screaming by my arms and legs, me commando crawling out of the room past four people before running away, returning to the room to sleep on the bathroom floor where I made good friends with the toilet.
The worst part was getting up early for the mountain bike tour. Still drunk I got up out of bed, slowly getting dressed and making my way down stairs. At this point I was still optimistic, I put my helmet on, picked up my bike and off we went. I think I rode for about ten minutes before I was off the bike and kneeling over next to the bushes on the side of the road vomiting with my tour manager and on site team member standing next to me laughing. I ended up pulling the pin on the bike riding and made my way back to the accommodation stopping several times to 'admire the scenery' haha. At least I tried, right? I asked the others 'who won the beer off?' to which I got the reply of 'no one won, everyone lost'.
Apart from being hungover and miserable the scenery was incredible, so green and beautiful. I definitely want to return in winter to go snow boarding!Læs mere
