    Aran Island / Dún Aonghasa

    July 21, 2015 in Ireland ⋅ ☀️ 14 °C

Today would have to be my favourite day on the Great Britain & Ireland trip so far! We caught a ferry to the Aran Islands and when we arrived we grabbed our hire bicycles and began our ride to Dún Aonghasa. We split up into smaller groups, I was with Christian, Brittany, Ally Rose, April, Adam, Rachel. On the way we went to the supermarket and brought some food for a picnic lunch. It was about an eight kilometres away and it took us about 40 minutes to get there because of all the inclines we had to ride up, once we got half way it was all down hill from there! When we got there we had a little bit of a walk up hill before we made it to the top, it was beautiful! We sat down together and as we began having our lunch the other groups began to turn up to join us. Cider! Now it was time to make our way back so we could get on the ferry, we decided to take the easier way on the way back along the shore and we got to see seals along the way.Read more
