    Rhodes

    Myself and a couple of the other girls signed up for the Medieval Tour of Rhodes which included going to the Acropolis of Lindos and Magic & Unique.

    When we got to Symi we headed straight to dinner where we were introduced to some strange foods, for example squid ink risotto, fish egg dip and huge anchovies. I tried everything and it wasn't too bad, there just wasn't enough food. During dinner we were entertained by greek dancers and the beautiful view.Okumaya devam et

    Chios

    There wasn't much to do in Chios but walk around and have a look at the shops, I am kinda glad we were only there for a couple hours. The only thing of note was my amazing chocolate waffle!

    Mykonos

    Mykonos was beautiful, I definitely need to go back as we weren't there long enough! We went for a walking tour around town before having dinner, which was delicious. We had lots of salad, extra large shrimps, lobster pasta, snapper and an alcoholic shot of some kind! At night the island looks beautiful we headed out to a cocktail bar followed by a night club.Okumaya devam et

    Athens International Airport

    The Golden Fleece tour has come to an end, it is time to make my way to London and that makes me very sad. I didn't just make friends for life but I found a family I didn't know I had. I just keep telling myself it is 'see you soon' not 'goodbye'. I'm looking forward to meeting my new Ultimate European Contiki family tomorrow night.     Canadian National Vimy Memorial

    The Canadian National Vimy Memorial is a memorial site in France dedicated to the memory of Canadian Expeditionary Forcemembers killed during the First World War. It also serves as the place of commemoration for First World War Canadian soldiers killed or presumed dead in France who have no known grave.

    The Louvre

    The Louvre is one of the world's largest museums and a historic monument in Paris, France. A central landmark of the city, nearly 35,000 objects from prehistory to the 21st century are exhibited over an area of 60,600 square metres (652,300 square feet). The Louvre is the world's most visited museum, and received more than 9.7 million visitors in 2012.

    The Champs-Élysées

    The Avenue Champs‑Élysées is a boulevard in Paris, 1.9 kilometres long and 70 metres wide, which runs between the Place De La Concorde and the Place Charles De Gaulle, where the Arc De Triomphe is located.

    The Champs-Élysées is one of the most famous avenues in the world and has only high end boutiques apart from H&M which only recently got approval to open a store so of course I went to H&M and bought some clothes so that I could say I went shopping at Champs-Élysées!     Notre Dame Cathedral

    The Notre Dame cathedral is one of the first Gothic cathedrals ever built. Notre Dame is French for 'Our lady of Paris'. Construction started in 1163 and lasted for almost two decades, opening in 1345. It is one of the largest and most well-known church building in the world. I got to see the Notre Dame both during the day and at night, but to see it lit up at night was incredible!

    Outside the Notre Dame Cathedral was the center of Paris which was used to design the city and everything is measured from that point. We just had to have a photo standing in the center of Paris!    Okumaya devam et

    Arc De Triomphe

    The Arc De Triomphe, the most monumental of all triumphal arches, was built between 1806 and 1836.

    The triumphal arch is in honor of those who fought for France, in particular, those who fought during the Napoleonic Wars. Engraved on the inside and at the top of the arch are all of the names of the generals and wars fought. There are inscriptions in the ground underneath the vault of the arch which include the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier from World War I where the Memorial Flame burns.

    The Arc De Triomphe was incredible to see in person, walk beneath it, to see the eternal Memorial Flame and engraved names.    Okumaya devam et

    Eiffel Tower

    The Eiffel Tower is absolutely incredible! Ticked off another thing on my bucket list by climbing all the way to the top of the Eiffel Tower where we had champagne at the very top.

    Highlight of the day was coming back at night to see the Eiffel Tower lit up, it was beautiful - unlike anything I have ever seen in my life!

    It is weird to think that the Eiffel tower was built in 1889 as the entrance arch to the 1889 World's Fair, it was initially criticized by some of France's leading artists and intellectuals for its design, but has become both a global cultural icon of France and one of the most recognisable structures in the world.     Château Versailles

    We were only allowed about an hour to explore the Château Versailles so a small group of us decided to get on the 'train' to explore the gardens. The gardens were beautiful, I could have easily spent a day in the gardens alone! I can just image what the inside looks like. We got off the 'train' to take a couple photos and it left without us, making us late back to the bus!Okumaya devam et

    Château Fontainebleau

    This place was beautiful, it took my breath away. A lot of people didn't go in to it because it was 'too expensive' but I decided to go anyway and it was well worth the money. As I walked through each room took my breath away more than the room before. I didn't get much of a chance to walk through the gardens but what I did see was amazing.Okumaya devam et
