21. Koh Tao Christmas Eve

The weather didn't look promising today, looked very cloudy and overcast, it was quite windy, too.
We headed downstairs for our breakfast and ate as much as we could to prepare us for the day. Luckily, by the time we had eaten and packed our stuff, the sun had started to come out.
James popped out for 30 mins to go and collect our new moped, 160 cc to make sure we can both get up the steep roads 😂. We made use out of it straight away, and drove it down the road to tanote Bay . James handled being back on the busy roads very well!
We stopped of at tanote Bay for a good couple of hours as it is known for being the best beach for snorkeling in Thailand. It certainly didn't disappoint, but the sea is quite choppy here with a current.
Time was getting on and the sun sets at 1800, so we drove to the other side of the island to find a nice place to sit to watch the sunset. We found this bougie restaurant and managed to find the perfect spot. We had another quick dip in the sea before having a drink and some calamari in front of the sunset.
When we went to leave the restaurant, we realised they were doing a special Christmas set menu for about 30 pounds each. We thought it would be really special to have a meal by the sea for Christmas, so we took their number down for when we discuss plans later.
We headed back to our resort for a shower and some food. We both had this weird Thai pasta dish, it was strange but quite pleasant! We were the last ones to eat the restaurant and they had started to close up for the night, so we had full use of the pool table for a few hours with not many people around. We met a really funny and very drunk French couple called Alex and Charlotte, we ended up speaking with them for ages, then Charlotte went off on a tangent about world politics, so we called it a night 😂.Okumaya devam et
