Ghandi's Memorial

First stop on our tour is the final home of Ghandi, needing little background he was assassinated shortly after India gained their indepe from the United Kingdom. It was at his home when Ghandi left to give evening prayers in the garden that he was murdered. The memorial gives his final steps in the form of stones, and you are able to go inside his home and see where he worked, slept and greeted guests. There had been a number of attempts on Ghandi’s life throughout his time as India’s freedom fighter. On the day of the final attempt, Ghandi took a different route to evening prayers, it is believed that just how he changed the course of India, he too changed the course of his own life in order to meet his death.もっと詳しく
