So my trip around the coast of Anglesey will be anti-clockwise, with the first town being Beaumaris. After finding a spot to park- which involved parallel parking, I did miss having someone to help me in, but I did it none the less.
While in the town I visited Beaumaris Castle, a fortress of perfect symmetry it is sadly the greatest castle that was never built. Building work began in 1306 by Edward I, but sadly were halted in 1330 due to a lack of money and a potential war brewing with Scotland. Today it is a World Heritage Site.Read more
