Parys Mountain

Parys Mountain was the site of an 18th century copper mine, the area was excavated by miners using nothing more than picks, shovels and gunpowder. The yields of copper were so great that Amlwch became known as Copper Kingdom dominating world copper market for well over a decade. Even today, there is thought to be about 6 million tonnes beneath the old mine workings.Leer más
