The next stop of the day was Schönbrunn Palace. This was the seat of Austrian monarchy’s summer residence for hundred of years, but was last modified in the 1750s by Empress Maria Theresa of Austria who received the house as a wedding gift. More recently it was used up until 1918 when the Austrian royal family fell and the Republic of Austria was formed.Les mer
