Hornillos del Camino to Castrojeriz

The first part of the Camino, from St. Jean to Burgos, is said to be about challenging your body and certainly I feel that my body is coming to terms with the daily physical requirements. The second part, from Burgos to Astorga, is said to be about opening your mind. I'm beginning to understand what this means to me. I look forward to days of processing thoughts, feelings and emotions. Physically, today was an easy and beautiful walk. We started with a lovely breakfast at our Albergue. The brother of the owner photographs pilgrims and we were surrounded by his stunning pictures. Our walk was cold and windy but sunny and I was very comfortable. There is a castle on top of the hill overlooking Castrojeriz that dates back to the 800s. All in all, another wonderful day on the Camino.
