🇩🇪 Tag 29: 38,8 km Hamilton - Karamu

Was soll ich sagen? Heute wollte ich es gemütlich angehen lassen. Also nach dem Aufstehen erstmal das Zelt trocknen lassen, dann in der Stadt frühstücken und dann 16 km bis nach Whatawhata. Auf dem Weg dahin hat mich spontan eine Frau aus dem Auto angesprochen: „wanderst du auf dem Trail?“. Aus dieser Frage hat sich ein super nettes Gespräch ergeben und eine Einladung, bei ihnen zu übernachten, wenn ich noch mal durch Hamilton komme. 😊 Um 14 Uhr war ich dann schon am Ziel. Da morgen eine anstrengende Bergetappe ansteht, habe ich dann noch mal 22 km dran gehängt. 🙈 Es ging über den Karamu Walkway über zahlreiche Schafweiden mit herrlichen Aussichten. An mehreren Stellen hatte ich heute schon geniale Sicht auf das Massiv, welches ich morgen besteigen werde. Mal sehen, welche Strecke es dann morgen final wird 😊

🇺🇸 Day 29: 38.8 km Hamilton - Karamu

What can I say? Today I wanted to take it easy. So after getting up, let the tent dry first, then have breakfast in town and then 16 km to Whatawhata. On the way there, a woman spontaneously spoke to me out of the car: “Are you hiking on the trail?” This question led to a really nice conversation and an invitation to stay overnight with them when I come through Hamilton again. 😊 I reached my destination at 2 p.m. Since there is a strenuous mountain stage tomorrow, I added another 22 km to it. 🙈 We walked along the Karamu Walkway over numerous sheep pastures with wonderful views. In several places today I already had a brilliant view of the massif, which I will climb tomorrow. Let’s see which route will be final tomorrow 😊Leggi altro
