Te Araroa - Tag 33

🇩🇪 Tag 33: 19,5 km Waitomo - Te Kuiti

Da ich außerhalb von Waitomo übernachtet habe, bin ich zuerst in das Dorf gelaufen. Hier habe ich mir dann gleich mal die Waitomo Glowworm Caves angeschaut: Ein Wahnsinn. Der eine Teil ist eine Tropfsteinhöhle, im anderen Teil fährt man mit dem Boot durch Dunkelheit und darüber leuchten die Glühwürmchen wie Sterne am Himmel. So traumhaft schön. Danach ging der Weg mehrmals über Weiden hoch und runter und bot herrliche Ausblicke. Die nächsten Tage soll das Wetter leider sehr nass werden, mal sehen, ob ich 1-2 Tage Pause mache.

🇺🇸 Day 33: 19.5km Waitomo - Te Kuiti

Since I was staying outside of Waitomo, I walked into the village first. Here I took a look at the Waitomo Glowworm Caves: amazing. One part is a stalactite cave, in the other part you take a boat through the darkness and the glowworms shine like stars in the sky. So incredibly beautiful. The path then went up and down several times over pastures and offered wonderful views. Unfortunately, the weather is supposed to be very wet in the next few days, so I need to see if I take a break for 1-2 days.Read more
