• Visiting WBT and retiree

    September 16, 2024 in the United States ⋅ ☁️ 81 °F

We stopped by the headquarters of Wycliffe Bible Translators and got a quick 30 minute tour. Glenn located the Mazahua Bible that Don and Shirley had translated back in the 1960’s and 1970’s. We visited briefly with Deb Borland who served on the Moody Alumni board with me.

We also stopped at a park and listened to the broadcast of the “celebration of Life” service for Dr. George Sweeting, the president while we were at Moody Bible Institute in 1973-1978 when we were students there in Chicago.

Afterwards we stopped by to see Margie Veith who lived and served with her husband in Guatemala back from 1958-mid eighties. What a musical and talented woman.

Then we drove on to Sanford where the New Tribes (now Ethnos360) headquarters is located.

We had a dinner kickoff for our 2 day summit. More tomorrow.
