Day 3 Stravanger, Norway

We woke up at 6am and watched us slowly arrive into Stavanger. Glenn and I ate breakfast in the main dining room.

We finally met our concierge Raymond. He helped us get off of NCL Star in a timely manner.

We walked through the streets, past the cathedral and on to the bus/train station. We met a couple off the ship as they were walking by.

We were picked up by Arnstein. He and his family are a “candle in the window” couple that agreed to pick us up and show off their country and we would treat them for dinner.

Arnstein gave us a gran tour of the area. Then we drove to their home and had a delicious lunch with his wife Lívia. After having a great conversation, Arnstein took us around some more areas, seeing the coast line, farm lands and huge rocks.

Later on me met up with Livia and their 2 children at a local restaurant/hotel. We had a typical Norwegian meal. Delicious.

It was a great day meeting new friends and enjoying the Norwegians life style. We paid for the dinner then we gave Arnstein some money to mail the 5 postcards and use the rest for gasoline.
