My 50th HS reunion

After a routine bone density test in Tyler, we headed towards DAllas. We visited with Dad for a little bit, then Glenn dropped me off at a Ladies’ luncheon on Greenville Ave. There were about 20 gals I graduated from LH and about 6 guys that showed up. Becky Finklea and Cindy Spoonts were really the only 2 gals I knew from high school. The others were in my class but we never really hung out together. I had some great conversations with Robin Rowe, David Payne and Patty Tiffin.

After the lunch, Glenn and I headed over to the Raymer’s house to rest up before the big Homecoming Football game. I had reserved 2 tickets for the “party patio”. What a great experience to see the football game. The last time I was at a football game was in 1981 when LH won the 5A Texas state championship against Houston Yates down in the Astrodome.

We won handidly over Irvin McArther. It was 35 to 0 at halftime and then Glenn and I left at the beginning of the 3rd quarter. It was great to see Donna Strickenberger Brown there. She hasn’t changed. We saw Rick and family sitting in the stands below us.Okumaya devam et
