3Score Luncheon and retiree visit

We left at 8am and headed to Grand Prairie to pick up Janie for 3Score at NBC. Nice event. Sat with Val and Jack Cox. Talked to Una, Ban and Patty Wolfe plus others.

After dropping off Janie, we tried to see Karen Hubbard but did see David Summers.

I called up Virginia Haynes and we took a small side trip to meet her. What a wonderful time to connect with her and hear her story.

Virginia and her husband served in Ecuador. Serving right there where the 5 Americans were martyred by Auca Indians on January 8, 1956. Virginia arrived with 2 little kids and had 2 additional children. She expressed had she cried often when the oldest two were sent out to boarding school in Quito. I could really sense her love and commitment to sharing gospel. What a privilege to meet her and have a short prayer as we left. Virginia is 96 years old.Læs mere
