One of our purposes for this trip is to be the facilitator for the O’Day’s and Buhler for 6-7 days.

Today they had meetings with TGN Radio and other folks.
I took a morning nap.

Then we headed to our favorite restaurant Media Cancha. Delicious steak.

Starting tonight our schedule is jammed packed!

Traveling to Panajachel

We got early and headed to CAG, our old neighborhood, Chimaltenango and finally the back road to Panajachel for 1 night.

We rested, then walked up to Bistro for dinner.

Casa del Mundo

After an early morning sunrise, we took the Tuck-Tuck to the dock for a boat ride Casa Del Mundo.

Before breakfast, I had a zoom call with Virginia and Linda. Everyone loved the view of the volcanoes.

We drove quickly to Antigua. Then we shopped at the market, ate some banana bread, walked thru the fancy McDonald’s and took a picture at the Arch.

We visited with Ann Henriques and then headed to the conference to the downtown hotel of Barcelo.Read more

Visit with mom and dad

We left Tyler just around 9am. I drove the first hour, then Glenn drove on into town.

We had seen that Karen and Alfie were having a garage sale, so Glenn texted them to see if any of Karen’s home-made cinnamon rolls were still available. They put 4 aside for us. While visiting them, Brian’s old college roommate walked him. In the course of the conversation, we learned he worked for Moody radio station in Chattanooga and was in town for the Buckner Shoes of Soul event at the Texas Rangers game.

We continued to Juliet Fowler to see mom and dad. Plus Ronnie was visiting too.

After lunch and took mom back to her room and visited with dad a tad longer.

Next stop: TCBY and Tuesday Morning and Lola Rodgers. We had a nice visit with Lola. Event we arrived at Summers home in Grand Prairie.

While at JF, we ran into Susan Malphurs. She was so happy to see us.Read more

Picnic in Penguin Park

We’ve been having some excellent meetings with fellow Member Care providers along with the Ministry Directors from countries all over the world.

On Tuesday evening, Glenn and I met up with Madison, Gary and the girls for a picnic in the park. What fun. We colored, we played, and we ate.Read more

Our one week meeting with the other member care folks and the ministry directors was a success.

We loved reconnecting with Ellen’s first grade teacher from 35 years ago. How can that be.?

We even treated Scott and Alicia for a meal at Red Robin and also had coffee with Paul and Laura from our Bolivia days

We even went garage sailing on Saturday! And drove up to the old GMU headquarters in Smithville.Read more
