Exploring Mesa Verde

There are a couple of loops in Mesa Verde, both long on mountainous roads. The campgrounds are near the north entrance to the park and at a lower elevation. It took most of the day to drive the loop and then take short hikes to see the ruins and then drive to the next one. The museum and visitor center was closed but there was plenty to see and lots of signs and some rangers around some of the ruins to provide information.Read more
