First Stop Long Island NY

Flew to NY for a couple of weeks after a call from my brother: "Mom called an ambulance and is on her way to the hospital. Can you come earlier than you planned?" Turns out she has been dealing with a couple of ulcers on her leg and hadn't told anyone of us. She had gone to a dermatologist and been on a couple of antibiotics which maybe did help it not get infected but didn't do much to heal an ulcer caused by vascular insufficiency. So I left for NY. I had been planning on going later in the month so that I could be there while Joe & Sue went to NJ for a little vacation.

Can't talk about how stressful it is to stay with my mom & dad. Dad is going to turn 99 in August, Mom is 94 I think. I expect I will be back soon.Read more
