There are two parks in walking distance that we walk to on a regular basis; the Jimi Hendrix Park & Butterfly Garden (the Black History Museum is there too) and the MLK Memorial Park. I mentioned to Odin that he would be off from school on Monday as it was MLK day. A little while later he asked " What are we doing on Jimi Hendrix Day?" Just made me smile and haven't been feeling like smiling since last Wed.

Took Babette to Kent Collision this morning. Still waiting to hear if they have been able to fix the leak into the light in the back.Okumaya devam et

What a crappy awakening. Heather's credit card company texted her of suspicious charges early Saturday morning. She got up & couldn't find her purse or credit cards. Then Josh took Yoshi for a walk and saw that the windows on my van were broken. Turns out Heather left her purse in my van & not sure if that had anything to do with why but someone broke into my van. Yet I did not expect to see what I saw when I went to check the van. They didn't just break a window & steal a purse. Then broke 3 windows, stole everything they could and ripped my bed off the side of the van. It was shocking. What a disaster.Okumaya devam et

They came back last night and stole Heather & Josh's new car! Holy Crap! What a start to 2021. I am so glad Josh maintains such a calm demeanor in the most of disaster.

Building Forts

Odin and I spent several hours building a fort and then protecting it from spawning creepers and zombies. Minecraft is the latest obsession. I'm not sure if Fighting zombies is like fighting Corona virus or just normal 5 year old pretend but It's tough being a 5 year old at age 67. There are effects of this pandemic that are hard to imagine. But being with Odin has kept me sane.Okumaya devam et

Odin is letting his hair grow. He doesn't even want.his bangs cut. I tried putting a hat on him and he looked so so cute

Haven't seen this much snow since I was a kid! Saturday Odin and I went sledding while Jay and Yoshi ran and played in the snow.

What a week!

It's been quite a week. Monday I had 2 teeth extracted, today I had my 2nd Covid vaccine. But....it snowed on Friday over a foot, Saturday we took Odin sledding at the dog park. Jay and Yoshi had a great time running around in the snow. But that night Jay was really hurting. I had to start giving her aspirin several times a day and restart her glucosamine. I was also limping as I pulled a muscle. But I do feel like I have made a lot of progress: 2 crowns done, 2 teeth extracted, 2 cover vaccines and my van is coming along. I am pretty sure I can head back to Austin in March.Okumaya devam et

1. See my dermatologist.
2. See my Opthalmologist
3. See my friends.
4. Help Jeannie after her shoulder surgery
5. Get supplies from the storage unit
6. Jay could see the vet.
7. Leave Jay with Wendy when I go to NY.

Cons:

Last week was beyond anything I would have ever expected. Friday, March 12 it started snowing in Seattle; and it snowed and snowed. On Saturday, Jay had her first real experience with snow. She and Yoshi ran and played at the dog park while Odin and I went sledding. By night fall both Jay and I were limping, Jay worse than I have ever seen her. We started glucosamine and ASA for her. On Sunday we all wanted to stay cozy inside.

The MONDAY....I got my 2 upper back teeth extracted with a bone graft. I was glad Josh drove me. I did not want to drive in the slush and I was pretty out of it afterwards so was really glad he was driving me home. But Meanwhile...in Texas...there was a major event brewing.

It started with your standard Tx Ice Storm and proceeded to the worst freezing winter storm that ever happened in ALL OF TX. Then the Tx power-grid got overwhelmed, Lack of preparation and regulation meant most of Tx had no power all week and towards the end of the week they also had no water. What a disaster! All caused by poor management, lack of caring and planning on the part of the lovely republican Tx government. And the senator, Ted Cruz headed to Mexico with his family. While senators from other states started raising money to help the poor people of texas. WTF!, right?Okumaya devam et

Overnight trip to test out new equipment and to get my brain into road trips again. Drove about 6 hrs yesterday. All equipment working. But window coverings could use some work. And.... it's friggin cold!Okumaya devam et
