Our Last Day at Sea!

When we awoke this morning we were north east of Havana and south west of Key West. We found a nice spot in the shaed to have breakfast on the Aquavit Terrace. It was lovely to sit there, smelling the sea water and enjoying our last day on the ship.

We opted to continue enjoying the warmth of the outdoors and headed to the pool after breakfast. It was absolutely divine at poolside ... dipping in just to cool down ... and sipping cool beverages! I stayed for 3 hours but the old boy stayed for even longer. Let's just say, he stayed much longer than he should have!! He won't let me take a picture of his sunburn. Oh my ... he is well-roasted!

I wasn't terribly hungry but thought I should get a bit of lunch because we had a reservation for dinner at 6:30pm with our friends Terry and Theresa. We enjoyed a little more of the fast food at the pool grill! We thought about going down to the Atrium to enjoy the entertainment ... but ... the outdoors was calling us! It was our last day on board and we were really starting to enjoy it all. We found a great little table near the infinity pool and thoroughly enjoyed the views and temps as we played a couple games of Clever. The old boy did not enjoy the scores, however, so we won't belabor that part of our experience.

And then, we had a really nice dinner at Manfredi's Italian restaurant! It offered an extensive menu and I forgot to take pics of all the delicious things we tasted. The old boy figures that the mushroom soup was the best he has ever tasted. He also had an octupus salad that was exquisite! I thoroughly enjoyed the lasagna! And, the desserts were decadent.

We had to call the evening short because we all needed to pack for our earlymorning disembarkation! But ... we were counting our blessings as we laid our heads to rest on our pillows. It has been a really nice cruise. The longer we have been on board, the more comfortable we have become. We are now thinking that maybe ... just maybe ... we will do another ocean cruise one day!Read more
