Rome-ward Bound!

We had to set an alarm today for the first day in five days. Our time here in Positano has been so relaxed and leisurely. It was the perfect topping to a very rich and rewarding trip. We keep saying, "Our hearts are full!"

We had a great ride from Positano to Naples. It was the younger brother of our driver who brought us from Naples to Positano! He was 2w and full of enthusiasm for all the decades ahead of him. It was such a joy to witness his spirit so alive and eager to enjoy life! 🙌

Our train to Rome was perfectly uneventful. Our train from Rome train station to Rome Airport was equally uneventful. And our shuttle from airport to hotel was quite uneventful too. All in all a nice travel day. No mountains to climb ( physically, mentally or emotionally) and no drama to contend with either.

Part of me keeps waiting for the next shoe to drop. Another part of me is just enjoying the lack of stress. 👍

As I write this, we're checked into our room and into our flight! We just need to decide if we are heading out to eat a proper meal here in Rome or if we'll just nibble on the things I brought with us from Positano. I'm not sure where we'll land ... but ... I'll see you all in the morning!

The last leg of our journey is upon us! And, as much as we loved, loved, loved this trip, we are really looking forward to being home. We have missed seeing the Autumn colors. Everything here stays ever so green. It's beautiful... but ... I love the plays of color we get at home during the Autumn season. 🍂🍁

P.S. I bought 6 more Kiko eyebrow pencils at the Naples train station! I am bringing home 18 of them. I'm banking on some longevity!! 😄

P.P.S. We opted to snack on the goodies I brought along and see if we could get a glass of wine from the hotel. All they had was Prosecco, so I made a cup of tea instead.

Then, low and behold, a light rap at the door and the owner/shuttle driver arrived with a silver tray laden with a bottle of wine, some chips and some olives! 😍
