• The Maithy Experience! ❤️

    7. februar, Thailand ⋅ ☁️ 27 °C

We slept until 7:30am. I'm not sure why we continue to feel so lazy? Maybe we are just really relaxed? As I was thinking about our day ahead, I remembered that I forgot to talk about how the stolen hat story played out!

Apparently, when Anne woke up and noticed her hat was gone, she spoke to the hotel staff about its disappearance. They said they would keep an eye out for it ... but she thought if they were serious they would have asked her what color it was. She was completely bamboozled about how she could have lost another hat.

She said she found it a bit odd that her roomate didn't seem overly compassionate nor conerned that she was in such a state of befuddlement. Her roommate was in on the heist, so she just went to the room and kept avoiding any more queries or conversation. She wasn't sure how she was going to keep the secret.

Apparently, our sweet victim even chatted with our neighbors about the mysterious disappearance of her second hat since arrived in Koh Samui. The old boy was tickled to tell them what he did. They howled with laughter when we told them that the old boy was in possession of the 'goods'.

And, I wish I had taken a photo of her expression when she spotted her hat on the old boy's head when we all met in the lobby to go to dinner! It was just an absolute hoot to watch it all play out. Good thing she is such a good sport! 😊😉🤣

When we saw her at breakfast ... she said she was sitting on her hat! 😉😂 And, she warned the old boy that he better watch himself!! I'm guessing some fun-spirited retaliation will be in the works! I'll keep you posted!

The old boy got towels and snagged a couple of cots on the beach. He's down there now. But I decided to come up to the air-conditioned comfort of our room. I'm just not in the mood to get overheated ... nor ... wear my long sleeves again. And, having some solitude was very appealing to me.

We snuck over to Mit Samui again for lunch! I went out on a limb and ordered something other than the Spring Rolls! The old boy thoroughly enjoyed my Satay chicken too!

We played bridge again at 2:00pm today. We had lots of fun ... and ... continued to learn more little tips and hints for playing. We're hoping to play again tomorrow! If we do, Linda is going to show us how to start a table online with people we know! I'm excited about that!

And, we have reservations at Maithy's Restaurant tonight! This place came highly recommended because it is high up on the hillside and affords spectacular views of the sunset. We will be going with five others in our group.

The view was spectacular! The food was not worth the price ... but ... we collected another lovely experience! The old boy really enjoyed the fresh oysters! His rock lobster was good, but I had to send my salmon back for more cooking. It was pretty raw when they served it.

We enjoyed some great conversation and were back to hotel by 8:00pm!

All in all ... it was another leisurely day filled with lots of smiles and oodles of delights! Its hard to fathom that we only have three more sleeps and then we are off to Bali ... via one night in Singapore!

    Nighty night ... 😴😴
