Rosenheim to Aschau im Chiemgau

A very misty start of the day but it quickly made way to sunshine as we started the foothills of the Bavarian Alps. The meadows and houses had a distinctive alpine look to them and that with the autumn colours was absolutely splendid. Our highlight was the lunch stop at the Fisch Hütte Rieter on the Chiemsee. Only reachable by foot or bike, the basic restaurant serves mostly trout from the nearby lake and you van have your own trout put on the BBQ outside!
