Ferry to Gran Canaria

We woke up early to drive up to Santa Cruz where we had to get the ferry at 8am to Agaete in Gran Canaria.
Arhucas

Came across a museum on the Spanish civil war and some local artists from Arucas.
Las Palmas

We had a stroll around Las Palmas, visiting the Cathedral de Santa Ana before catching the ferry to Morro Jable in Fuerteventura
Corralejo

We arrived at the Oasis Duna hotel just in time for dinner. Apartment was a bit shabby, but the complex is reasonable with great pool and friendly staff. This will be home for the next 5 days…
Holiday starts here

Today we took it easy. We got up and went for breakfast, then went to the pool. We took a walk around town in the early afternoon and found the Tindacenter… a shopping centre for lonely singles. WeBaca lagi
Isla del Lobos

Today we took a short ferry ride to the small islote off the coast of Corralejo. Once populated by sea lions, it was named the ‘Isle of Wolves’ due to the barking sound they made. It’s now aBaca lagi
Meeting old friends

We took a walk down to the main Dunas beach today to meet up with Zoe and Kevin, some old friends that left Tenerife 8 years ago. They are also staying in Corralejo, at the Riu all inclusive hotel. ItBaca lagi
Las Dunas

Today is my birthday! We went to the sand dunes so that Elena could video herself rolling down them. Later we went back to the beach with Zoe and Kevin before eating back at the hotel. Tomorrow weBaca lagi
Off to Lanzarote

We left Corralejo at midday and took the ferry to Lanzarote. It was only a short 25 min crossing, so we arrived in Lanzarote and got to our apartment for about 3pm, leaving time for a swim at the poolBaca lagi
Museo de Atlántico

We went scuba diving today and visited the underwater Museo Atlántico. Opened in 2017, it contains sculptures under the water which are now host to plants and life that otherwise would not exist inBaca lagi

We visited the house of Lanzarote artist, Cesar Manrique. A truly stunning example of arquitecture and nature in harmony.
Cueva de los Verdes

Lunch in Orzola

Had barracuda for lunch at ‘Os Gallegos’ restaurant on the port at La Orzola before catching the ferry to La Graciosa.
La Graciosa

A short boat ride to complete all the Canary Islands. La Graciosa has no roads, just sand tracks. A small beach and a village of white houses with a supermarket and a couple of restaurants.
Jameos del Agua
