Before heading of to the airport I went for a stroll through the fishing village close to my accomodation. I was welcomed with a lot of smiles and curious questions especially about the fact that I was "sendiri" - on my own. But had I not been on my own, I would have proabably never had the chance to watch all these people carry out their jobs: fishing, getting the fish out of the boat, drying the fish and putting it into bags. By the way, all these people in the pictures asked to be in my photos. Indonesians love that. And since everybody has twitter, istragram and facebook, it's absolutely normal for them that their photos will be spread. That's a big part of the culture and mentality here whatever one might think of that.Read more
