Bratislava

A couple of hours in Bratislava is not enough to do it justice. Sitting astride the Danube, the palace overlooks the town and the spire of St Martin's Cathedral stands out. The bridge we travel over is locally called the UFO bridge because of the circular restaurant at the top.
The main thoroughfare is beautifully tree-lined and filled with many eating places and shops. The weather is very warm and the shade from the trees is welcome. Lunch is sitting on the sidewalk in a bar/cafe. Next table to us are some Russian young people who are already well on the way to being drunk.Read more
