    The exterior was damaged during the heavy bombing of WW2. The Gothic cathedral is from the 14th century and is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The twin spires are visible for miles. There are 509 steps to an upper platform. The exterior is still under constant renovation and the soft original material is being replaced. Hence the lighter areas.Read more
