Camp #15 - BLM sunset reef

This is a free camp spot on BLM land close to Carlsbad Cavern. It's close enough so we can get back up to watch the bats.
For free camp site, it's great. Each pitch has a fire pit, bbq, bench, shade and bin. There's also a (pit) toilet.

We took one of the tent spots rather than the RV spots and put up our hiking tent to reserve our spot whilst we went out to watch the bat's. 🤞 That we have bat's there unlike Austin.Read more
