Golden Gate Bridge to Alcatraz swim

Laura got me an early birthday present. For the longest time I've wanted to swim Alcatraz Island. For my present I got to swim from the Golden Gate Bridge to Alcatraz. Started by doing some back stroke under the the Golden Gate Bridge and hearing passers by whopping, turning around and completing the rest of the 5km/3mile swim in front stroke.
The rental wetsuit did cause some rub on my neck. But finished up, got in the boat and back to the port. What an excellent birthday present!Read more
