The Final Stretch

Our last stretch was an uneventful cycling day leading us to the town of Nanyuki, where we had arranged to be picked up by "Taxi Naomi" - famous among KBO cyclists - the next day, to return to Nairobi.

The road into town was one of the worst "main" roads we have seen on the trip, and we were very happy when we arrived at our Hotel for the night and be done with the pothole and sand slalom. Also, I think I have rarely seen bikes as dirty and dusty as ours were after that day.

We treated ourselves to a great dinner at Laura's new favourite Kenyan Chain - Java House - and called it a night... Or at least that was the plan.
