Kwaheri Kenya 🇰🇪

Finally, the day had come. Sad, that the journey was over, though beyond happy that our bums did not have to endure another second of torture, we packed our bikes into our Taxi, and returned to the place were everything had started three weeks prior: Mlango farm, Nairobi.

When we had left Nairobi, the weather had been cold and grey, but this time around, we found it sunny, colourful, and much more inviting.

We reached the farm around 1 pm, quite a bit earlier than anticipated, after a quick 4h drive (for a mere 200km). Luckily, this meant we were juuuuust in time for lunch (which Laura had already been dreaming of for the last 3.5 hours of the ride).
With time on our side, we opted to take up our hostess on her offer of a farm tour - and we are very happy we did. Mlango farm turned out to be far more than the couple of huts and the common area we had seen so far: multiple stables with different farm anymals, a huge fruit and vegetable orchard that feeds the whole farm, its guests and neighbouring markets, as well as the Hostess' newest project - a triangular clay house in the woods.
On top of all of that, we also got to marvel at the expedition truck of a dutch family of 6, who have been living in said vehicle for the past 2 years. They even brought their two cats and new puppy with them. 😍

However, eventually came the moment to pack our bags and bikes into their transport boxes and get ready for our 6 am flight home.

And with that, our three week adventure through Kenya comes to an end.
