We had originally planned to go for a hike in a rainforest reserve on Mt Glorious, but it turned out to be closed for track maintenance. So we had a nice lunch in the local cafe. The road up to MtEn savoir plus

We were able to go to the lookout. That large body of water in the distance is the reservoir from which Brisbane's drinking water comes. A few years ago, during a prolonged heavy rainfall event, the dam was opened because of fears of it overflowing. It sent so much water down the Brisbane river that it caused a very bad flood.

A few of the blokes at the cafe, where their motorcycle club had stopped for lunch. When we first drove by on our way up to the lookout, there were a lot more bikes and riders--including a whole posse of motorcycle cops enjoying an outing!

The cafe sponsors a lot of motorcycle events and has this beautiful hog on display. Buddha is its security guard.
