• The "Petite France"

    The entire area of the "Petite France" is an UNESCO heritage site since 1988.
    It seems ancient... but in reality it was built in the 70s. Indeed, the entire neighborhood was razed to the ground during the Second World War, and rebuilt faithfully to the original after the WWII.

    All the houses are characterized by an amazing wooden structure which remains visible from outside the building. This way of building, dating back to the Middle Ages, is typical of Germany, Switzerland and especially the Flemish areas.
