The House of the Free Press served as the headquarters of the Communist Party's official press. The building is an example of the massive, Soviet-style architecture typical of the regime.
Today, it continues housing several newsrooms and printing facilities.

In front of the building stands a memorial dedicated to those who fought against communism between 1945 and 1989. The monument features three stainless steel wings, each reaching a height of 28 meters. These wings symbolize the Holy Trinity carrying the souls of the victims of the communist regime to heaven.

These monuments are on the route to the Airport and the Arch of Triumph.
