    Pastrami is the most famous dish in Romanian cuisine. Although it became popular worldwide thanks to the US, this dish was invented in Romania and then reached the US thanks to the migrations of Jewish communities from Russia and Romania to the US.

    Pastrami is essentially a method of preserving beef by brining it, drying it, and then smoking it. The result, similar in appearance to ham, is used to fill sandwiches or is eaten with vegetables.
