Basilica of Saint Stephen

The beautiful Basilica of Saint Stephen was built in the late 1800s and completed in 1905, when Hungary was still part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.

The church, designed in Neoclassical style, has the shape of a Greek cross, with a dome at the center.

It is dedicated to Stephen I of Hungary, the first King of Hungary, who reigned around the year 1000.Read more
