    Johnson’s presidency began tragically with the assassination of John F. Kennedy. Johnson was his Vice President and was sworn in as President on the plane carrying JFK’s body, next to JFK’s wife, who was wearing the same outfit she had on at the time of the assassination.

    Johnson was a very important President. He played a crucial role in the civil rights movement, was a strong supporter of the Vietnam War, and brought the US closer to Israel during the Six-Day War.

    All these events are covered in the museum, which is full of artifacts, newspapers, videos, and audio recordings.
