• Strolling through Soho, Little Italy, Chinatown

    New York isn’t just glass and concrete skyscrapers. So we took a few hours to explore the neighborhoods of Soho, Little Italy, and Chinatown.

    - Soho was once an industrial district and has become a hub for high-end fashion and shopping. Its buildings are beautiful, characterized by the iconic cast-iron fire escapes on the outside.

    - Little Italy is the Italian neighborhood, created by the first Italian immigrants 🇮🇹. Today it has shrunk a lot due to the neighboring Chinatown, and it felt quite touristy and less authentically Italian.

    - In contrast, Chinatown is much larger, more authentic, and populated by Chinese and Taiwanese residents 🇨🇳. There are many Asian food shops, selling fruits and items which are unfamiliar to us, as well as buildings, statues, and religious sites in traditional Chinese style 🏮.
