Las Herrerias to Fonfria

I'm actually not sure how to write this post. I had one of the best days of my life today. I was euphoric. My eyes felt genuinely glazed over, I was beaming ear to ear, I felt like shouting, singing, skipping.

I sit here, melted into a beanbag, still dazed and lost for words. I want to explain how it makes me feel, to charge my body up +1000m, in the crispy freezing air. To pant and sweat and smile wide with all my teeth. To feel like a steam engine; to feel so completely in my body. To look out over fog and hills and trees. To feel the breeze and the sun and the rocks rolling underfoot.

Maybe it was the drop in temperature making me feel right at home, maybe it was some dehydrated delirium, maybe it was the bubbling bursting burning heart of my inner child.
