    October 18 in Portugal ☀️ 22 °C

With heavy eyelids but an excited little heart, I caught a 3hr bus from Santiago down to Porto, Portugal. Boston Man was already there, having travelled earlier that morning. Getting in after dark, I got dropped right at my hostel and wasted no time getting food and catching zzzs.

The accommodation I chose for Porto was based off Lexie's recommendation from when she was here, and I can CONFIDENTLY pass on said recommendedation for the House of Sandeman hostel. One of the nicest places I've ever stayed. Perfect waterfront location, gorgeous cosy lounge area, real sheets, real towels, full bathrooms, huge comfy beds, late checkout, free tea/coffee, and an incredibly joy-inducing free breakfast spread.

These few days were a dreamy, warm, cruisy affair, waltzing along the waterfront, watching the sunset, fancy dinners, local dinners, watching street performers, couch reclining, breakfast second and third helpings, a touch of shopping, and, in a moment of total impulsive indulgence, Boston Man secured us tickets to a champions league soccer match, in which Porto's home team were playing. Drums, flags, chants that shook the stands, thousands of locals, flooding out into the streets.
