• Sintra (Day Two)

    October 23 in Portugal 🌬 19 °C

I expressed my admiration to Lexie the other day, in newly realised disbelief as to how she managed the energy and focus to maintain such a rich, entertaining, and funny FindPenguins on her trip. Chat, I faded weeks ago 😅 Still, I am sure you have been enjoying the photos nonetheless.

When one (me) schleps around Spain and Portugal for weeks on end, she tends to lose mostly all motivation for administrative tasks, preferring to apply energy into eating food and stomping streets. Truth be told, she develops a tenuous, sudsy, slippery grip on the pillars of her personal reality. Brainpower is used up most days by the time I wake up and have to remember what planet I'm on. Where(who) am I?

Anyway. I woke up this day, remembering I was still in Sintra. I wrung every drop of the time afforded to me pre check-out, and, incidentally, every drop of water out of about 8 towels, because the shower flooded the entire bathroom floor.

Copying Lexie's grand success in research and selection, I attended Cafe Saulade for breakfast, and almost flipped the table in delight. I took my time here, and snuck the cutesy egg into my bag for snack time later. Thank you, I'll be off.

Today was Quinta de Regaleira. It was very nice. You'll soon nod in agreement.

After this, I hopped on the train back to Lisbon to head to check-in at the room Boston Man had booked us and await his arrival. A shower!! Clean sheets!! A dark room (shout out to those that know me well)!! Bliss.
